The story so far…
The Olympic Choir was started by members of Olympic Studios in 2017 and has been growing ever since. The choir rehearses a diverse range of music from pop, rock, jazz, musical theatre and a little bit of classical thrown in for good measure!
The choir rehearses weekly and both readers and non-readers of music are very welcome. Practise tracks are provided in the MEMBERS AREA of the website for those wishing to practise their parts between rehearsals and music/lyric sheets are also available to download.
Olympic Choir have already been part of some fabulous performances including The Rose Theatre’s Christmas Concert, Celebrity Christmas Concert hosted by Gyles Brandreth, Jack Whitehalls’ Celebrity Christmas Truce Football Match, concerts in Covent Garden and much more!
Membership is open to members of Olympic Studios and their friends and the group meets every Monday from 7.45 - 9.30pm at St Mary’s Church, Barnes.

Adam studied music at London University, Royal Holloway and then went on to become a freelance musician for a number of years. He was Musical Director of Barnes Youth Theatre for 10 years, working with Anne Carroll and Ross Livingstone and then subsequently went on to specialise in composing for theatre, film and corporate.
Zia and Adam are the composers of 'The Importance Of Being Ernest - A New Musical' , which premiered at Riverside Studios in 2011 starring Gyles Brandreth as Lady Bracknell, Susie Blake as Miss Prism and Edward Petherbridge as Dr Chasuble. After a sell-out success, the show transferred to Theatre Royal Windsor. The show is currently under development. For more information on the show, please visit www.mcguinnessandmoranne.co.uk. As well as composing, Zia and Adam run a busy private teaching practice and are also currently visiting teachers at Harrodian School in Barnes.
